Crazy July
Why does July always seem so crazy around here? We didn't do much for Independence Day. My family went to my grandparent's house in Utah, but I had to work both Monday and Wednesday, so we didn't get to go. We did do a few fireworks and sparklers here, and watched some fireworks going off in all directions from the sidewalk in front of our house.
I didn't post last week because Justin and I took a little road trip with his family. We went up to Cedar City for his cousin's mission farewell. She's going to Germany. We stayed with one of his aunts, which is always a blast. Unfortunately I was pretty tired all weekend. But it was still fun.
Saturday we went to a car show, which was kind of fun. I enjoyed walking around with Justin.
We both got a little sunburned, though. Sunday, after hearing Justin's cousin speak at church, we had a luncheon at another of his aunt's houses. We had fun hanging out and chatting with his family. And of course we had to play several rounds of Nertz. Before we left we also went to see the Cedar temple. It wasn't far at all from Justin's aunt's. It's not finished just yet, but it's still beautiful.
In other news, my parents came over to help us hang the rest of our shades yesterday (Saturday), but only got the two in the master bedroom done. I figured the one in the bathroom would take a while. But Mom and I weren't really helpful because we were in the kitchen cooking the whole time. We fed the missionaries that night also, so Mom helped me make a hashbrown casserole and some strawberry compote for the angel food cake Justin and I made that morning. So they're coming over again on Tuesday. And my sister, Sarah, is coming over too! And she's making dinner. So it should be a fun evening. And I guess that's about it for now. Nothing too exciting. So, until next time!
